IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHO AND WHAT AND WHY “I AM …”

There are three who are my neighbors who I’ve known and loved as fellow human beings (the best) and whom I have been honored to know:

JACK ASHWORTH and a guy called “Joe.”

East Palo Alto … a guy who told me a teacher in this, San Mateo County, told him he’d never amount to anything … because he was a Mexican! I got to play a little guitar for him.

Some times I get real tired. But, I know the truth and the truth is that there is right and wrong, good and bad, 1 and 0.

That’s all. That’s all.

Oh … (edit) the third is Leonard Ross (a girl friend’s father) … who also served. And … I’ve got to mention my uncle, Benny C. Channel and, also, Stallworth … I believe his name was Albert. Everyone served in the Armed forces of this nation. And, yet, despite the obstacles of hatred and racism were the best (fallible) humans ever to walk this earth.
